Seminar
DRAG–KING: DECONSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCE OF IDENTITIES WITH SAYAK VALENCIA

This seminar explores how binary categories of sex and gender—male and female—are constituted and established, to then deconstruct them. The workshop will seek to raise critical awareness, through theoretical tools and a transformation exercise, on the concept of identity. Likewise, a creative and disobedient performance will be carried out regarding traditional masculinity and its influence in everyday lives in terms of social relations, the use of public space, and the economic system.
