Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo was formally established on March 3, 2001 when Colección Jumex was exhibited for the first time at the Galería Jumex in Ecatepec.

Through its exhibitions and public programs, Museo Jumex aspire to become a relevant institution in the field of art. This is achieved through the production (and co-production with other institutions) of exhibitions and research projects that bring contemporary art practices closer to diverse audiences.

Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo’s Grants & Scholarships program provides funding to individuals and institutions involved in contemporary art production, promotion and research.

The foundation’s library is one of the most extensive libraries in Mexico devoted to the research and study of modern and contemporary art.

The foundation’s library is one of the most extensive libraries in Mexico devoted to the research and study of modern and contemporary art. It gathers of over 8,500 titles including monographs, exhibition catalogues, periodical art publications, and texts regarding the study and research of museum and curatorial practices.
