The professor, critic and historian Karen Cordero will talk about the systematic exclusion of women as creators in the history of art. She will outline the necessity of a new historiography, considering the contribution of the feminist theory in this area.

Karen Cordero Reiman is an art historian, curator and writer. She has written multiple publications on 20th and 21st century art, especially on the relations between the so-called high and popular arts in Mexico; critical art history; the body, gender and sexual identity in Mexican art, as well as curatorial and museum policies. She has participated in several curatorial, advising and research projects in different museums.
