BÉLICA
She began in the Venezuelan music scene in the cult bands La Hermandad (keyboards and choirs, 1997) and Zapato 3 (vocalist, 1999). In 2003 she began her career as a soloist and singer-songwriter with her first self-titled album, produced by DJ Trece. Bélica is the heir to the musical and vocal knowledge of her father, the famous tenor Carlos Almenar Otero. Her songs combine eclectic trip hop, pop and blues nostalgia. She is also a fashion designer and art director. She designed the costumes for the Venezuelan film Secuestro Express (2005) and for film and television advertising campaigns in Venezuela and Latin America. She currently lives in Mexico and is working with producer Rodrigo Robles his third studio album with the collaboration of Iván Ochoa.
