CONTEMPORARY PAPERS: CONSERVATION WORKSHOP

Contemporary Papers is a three-session workshop whose aim is to introduce participants to contemporary art made on paper, as well as various aspects of its preventive conservation and dynamics of deterioration. In relation with exhibition Ulises Carrión. Dear reader. Don’t read, the workshop will review the problems of the preservation of archival documents, as well as the conservation challenges of paper work.

This workshop is part of the Fundación Jumex grant program retribution.

Instructor: Tania Estrada Valadez She studied MA Conservation: Books and Archival Materials at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. She has worked professionally in Conservation of Documentary Heritage CNCPC-INAH and has held professional stays at the Victorian and Albert Museum-V & A Book Conservation Studio; at the University College London Library; Dr. Williams Library and the National Library of Spain.
