Using photography to capture fleeting moments, Gabriel Orozco produces images of recontextualized everyday objects through which he investigates the space between the public and the private. Focusing on quotidian details that are generally overlooked, Orozco poetically reinterprets objects and materials, which are found or manipulated by the artist. He transforms the ordinary through linguistic and poetic interaction, offering up comedic interpretations of the scenes he captures through titling.
