Contextualising the exhibition, this catalog explores the healing power of light and lightness as an antidote to the heaviness that sur­rounds us today through more than 60 works from Colección Jumex. The artists in the show have given us plenty to pon­der, from experiments in pure light to meditations on reflection, shadows, and luminosity; to light phenom­enon in weather; to explorations of weightlessness, flight, airiness, and immateriality. Light and lightness are also powerful elemental forces of spiritual tran­scendence, clarity, renewal, and rebirth.
