Oral narrative workshops with María Cristina Urzaiz Mediz

María Cristina Urzaiz Mediz will implement her experience as an oral narrator during a series of workshops in which the public will be able to develop their abilities to tell stories.

María Cristina Urzaiz Mediz (Mexico City, 1937) has been an oral narrator for more than a decade and is a cultural mediator credited by UNAM (2014). For 8 years she was part of the permanent workshop of the Foro International de Narration Oral (FINO) runned by Armando Trejo. She has taken part in festivals at Latin America and has developed repertoires specialized for different audiences in rehabilitation centers, as well as for children, young people and adults.

This workshop is part of the project School of Aging by Ana Gallardo. The artist invites the public to reflect on and pose questions about senior people. In this way she enters into a dialogue with retired people where she learns from their skills by gardening, singing, dancing, among other activities.
