IS IT REQUIRED TO BE MEXICAN OR LIVE IN MEXICO TO PARTICIPATE?
No, it is not required. The international statement has been a hallmark in Fundación Jumex’s work.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS CAN PARTICIPATE?
Contemporary Art Projects that correspond to the proposed categories: production of exhibitions, research, publications, public program, and artist in residence.
CAN I APPLY FOR SUPPORT IN TWO CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPATION?
No. Only one project is accepted per person in a single category.
SHOULD I SEND THE APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS BY COURIER?
No. The whole process is online: 1). Register, 2). Fill out online application, 3). Attach files, and 4). Submit application.
WHEN SHOULD THE SELECTED PROJECTS START?
Due to the process that covers from September to December (receiving applications, selection and notification), resources might be used from January next year.
MAY I OBTAIN SUPPORT FOR DANCE, THEATER AND MUSIC PROJECTS?
Rarely. The priorities are projects related to contemporary art for visual arts, curatorship, museum programs, art history, etc.
DO THE SELECTED PROJECTS MUST BE COMPLETED IN THE FOLLOWING YEAR?
Ideally yes, though projects can take up to 24 months to completion but the maximum period for the use of the allocated resources is 12 months.
HOW SHOULD I REQUEST AN INTERVIEW?
According to the program’s policy interviews cannot be granted to present projects.

WHEN IS THE NEXT OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS?
The call for Sponsorships opens every year between September 1 and October 31.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU ASSIGN FINANCIAL AID?
Annually we publish two calls: the call for Scholarships during the period from March to April and the call for Grants during September-October.
