137 soaps, pins and enamel on wood
81 x 123 x 10.5 cm
Baño Público [Public Restroom] is a composition of 137 used soap bars taken from public sinks, like the ones often found in bathrooms in bars or gas stops on the road. Marcelino Barsi offers up a tableau of soaps of different sizes, shapes, and colors, creating a playful collage that seems like it might be an inside joke yet retains an element of the grotesque.
