Moyra Davey’s Six Weeks Tour takes its title from Mary Shelley and Percy Bysshe Shelley’s History of a Six Weeks’ Tour Through a Part of France, Switzerland, Germany, and Holland, published in 1817. Davey’s interest in the work and figure of feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft and her daughters, Fanny Imlay and Mary Shelley, encouraged her to spend time in the New York Public Library’s collection of papers of Percy Shelley and his circle.
