Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo was formally established on March 3, 2001 when Colección Jumex was exhibited for the first time at the Galería Jumex in Ecatepec.
The foundation’s library is one of the most extensive libraries in Mexico devoted to the research and study of modern and contemporary art.
Through its exhibitions and public programs, Museo Jumex aspire to become a relevant institution in the field of art. This is achieved through the production (and co-production with other institutions) of exhibitions and research projects that bring contemporary art practices closer to diverse audiences.
Eugenio López Alonso, pioneer in the realm of contemporary art collecting in Mexico.
Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo’s Grants & Scholarships program provides funding to individuals and institutions involved in contemporary art production, promotion and research.

Ugo Rondinone uses poetry and language as starting points for his meditations on the emotions that deeply affect humanity. His works appeal to a simplicity and transparency that reject an overly intellectual view of art.
