La invención de lo cotidiano

Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL) and Fundación/ Colección Jumex present The Practice of Everyday Life an exhibit that brings together 158 works from 102 artists representing a wide survey of timeframes, techniques and intellectual approaches. The exhibition’s pieces are drawn from the collections of both institutions, with works from the seventeenth century to the present. The curator Frédéric Bonnet proposes a reflection on art’s use as a documentary evocation of the everyday, as well as on the methods artists use to take ownership of the quotidian, to in turn reinvent and re-imagine certain of its uses and aspects, via image, form and the artwork’s produced experience.
