Orozco has always been interested in print forms as traces, and in how plant leaves can be registered, mimicking themselves. His installation Color Travels Through Flowers is made from the residue of chemically dyed petals made in an artificial flower factory. This plant maze is a way in which the artist uses remnants of material processes to form new artistic works. Folded like Rorschach’s psychological tests, the industrial traces of flowers multiply into asymmetrical forms of a modern nature.
