La Biblioteca is a project based around the Fundación Jumex library in Ecatepec. The museum’s gallery -1 is converted into an open access reading room with a selection of books related to art and culture.
The foundation’s library is one of the most extensive libraries in Mexico devoted to the research and study of modern and contemporary art. It gathers more than 8,500 titles including monographs, exhibition catalogues, periodical art publications, and texts regarding the study and research of museum and curatorial practices.
Within the reading room, Mexico City-based artist and writer, Francesco Pedraglio (Italy, 1981) will make interventions with both objects and actions that sit in relation to art publishing and the act of reading. The artist will also present a new performance during the exhibition.
