Guided Tour
De excepciones y milagros through the Granada neighborhood

Tour guided by artist Oscar Cueto who will take us from the Jumex Museum through the Granada neighborhood visiting retail spaces that have resisted gentrification in the area. The tour includes 11 stories Of Exceptions and Miracles, told by the neighbors who own or work in the stores and who are part of families that have inhabited the neighborhood for decades. During the last few weeks Cueto has been talking with the Museum’s neighbors in search of micro-stories to be interpreted by the artist in oil paintings. As part of the exhibition *Actions at a Distance, the paintings were exhibited at the Museum and then, as an act of exchange and gratitude for the stories, they were given to their owners. On this walk we will talk about museums, their communities, gentrification and visit the stores of: Antonio, Cynthia, Francisco, Gabriel, Gabriel, Jazmín, José Antonio, Juana, Magdalena, Manuel, Martín, Miroslava and Trini to see the oil paintings exhibited in their places and meet first-hand the museum’s neighbors.
