Traversing The Collection Activities

When we see a work of art for the first time, we may have an idea about it, nonetheless, when we learn its title, it can sometimes change completely our initial perception of this same piece. Has this ever happened to you?
Some titles can tell us a story, others can refer to something very specific, or can even lead us to observe something we hadn’t noticed before. What happens to those titles that don’t say anything? What happens with those that invite to imagine new names for the art work?

Through some of the artworks that make up A Title is an Invisible Color, a selection of La Colección Jumex, by María Emilia Fernandez, we invite you to observe the changes that a work of art may have by modifying its name.
