Piotr Uklański is a conceptual artist who, among works in various other media like photography, video and performance, makes paintings made from natural materials and organic waste such as crayon, ink droplets, and torn paper. In this work, Uklański creates a pattern from the circular shape and the colors of pencil shavings, arranging them beneath an acrylic sheet. The scalloped edges are emphasized, producing star or flower–like shapes of various colors and sizes.
