Alan Saret’s wire sculptures explore the relation between order and chaos, which the artist associates with the natural and man-made. The artist has maintained a quiet art practice which allowed him to produce what he calls his Flexible Sculpture, amorphous shapes that react to hard-edged Minimalist steel sculptures. Saret uses chicken wire, steel and copper wires, or coated wire to produce complex forms that can hang from the ceiling or wall or stand on the ground.
