Employing materials such as light, sound and artificial mist, Ann Veronica Janssens aims to create an experience where one feels like being inside a sculpture, as the artist herself has noted. Yellow & Sky Blue uses halogen lights with particular types of filters which project a myriad of different colors, depending on the angle adopted by the observer, to create a complex and unbounded painting as light is reflected on the wall. Janssens creates spaces where our senses are challenged and expanded, allowing us to perceive reality from an entirely different perspective.
