An important part of the work of Damián Ontiveros Ramírez lies in his collaboration with communities to expose, name or process certain events or moments through conversation and art. He organizes gatherings where people can share stories or voice concerns through creative exercises. Ontiveros held an art workshop with 20 police officers who produced pencil drawings and epoxy clay models of their weapons. The results are presented in Método IV, dibujos y esculturas hechas por policías, [Method IV, Drawings and Sculpture Done by Policemen]. He has also worked with the families of missing persons where they learned to draw and create animations with the portraits of their loved ones, or taught painting to migrants where they recreated iconic works of modern art done by artists who were migrants themselves.
