Open Collection is a periodic exercise that brings Colección Jumex closer to its audience, facilitating the public presentation of important artworks of our time. The simple nature of this format, offers the opportunity to generate, in a free and flexible way, endless discourses, create a range of analogies, and highlight similarities and differences. This first selection, including twenty-eight artworks created between 1971 and 2012, allows for the juxtaposition and comparison of scale and materials, as well as of cultural, architectonic and historic references. Without curatorial pretensions, Open Collection invites the visitor to create a personal analysis and reflect upon the artworks presented.
