Orozco’s River Stone series consists of stones that Orozco found in rivers, their forms shaped by contact with water over the years. Regarding these stones, the artist mentions “They caught my attention because they are eroded objects that have a long history and yet retain their simplicity”. Through the artist’s intervention of carving shapes, lines and volumes, these stones materialize the idea of erosion, blurring the line between natural and human action.
