This installation consists of works made with lint, a word combined in its title with “lintel”, that hang in the space. These scraps were collected by the artist in laundromats in New York. These pieces are reminiscent of clothing, everyday materials transformed into sculptural objects. In the artist’s words, “I started to be intrigued with differences in the color and texture of lint, its ‘purity,’ and the way it is held together as dust, fibers, and hair; the idea of clean dust and the combination of colors after they gather.”
