Drawing from a selection of works from the Colección Jumex, Diffuse Visions evokes a threshold where the boundaries between wakefulness and dreaming become porous. The works present images of waking life imbued with scenes that emerge from dreams, giving rise to visual projections beyond the real and the immediate—an intermediate, daydream state. Within this atmosphere, some pieces unsettle the everyday until it becomes uncanny, while others reveal reminiscences of more-than-human lives, returning us to a state of consciousness where the diffuse appears not as an abscence of meaning, but as a liminal perception that challenges the clarity of the analytical gaze.
