Visitations is a selection of video works by contemporary artists that revolve around fictive visits to museums or heritage sites and encounters with a presence that is “out of time”. Tour guides or the visitors themselves appear as haunting characters from different times that cast a light on the nature of the contemporary museum, as a place where time and space are condensed, and history, present and future are in dialogue with one another.
